Hypothetical Campaign Execution for Real-World Public Relations Experience:

The “Empowering Voices, Building Futures” campaign is for PRSA Memphis and addresses the issue of low awareness and engagement of PRSA Memphis. It will seek to build a positive perception of the PRSA Memphis organization while highlighting member success, recent projects, and specific programs. PRSA Memphis initiated this campaign in 2025.

Attached is my “Empowering Voices, Building Futures” campaign.

I ghostwrote this op-ed on behalf of Kim Malone, President of PRSA Memphis, to be shared with local news outlets across the Memphis area. The piece aimed to emphasize the importance of effective communication in addressing the city's challenges, such as public safety concerns, economic inequality, and divisions within the community. I worked to ensure the message reflected Kim’s leadership style—focused on fostering unity, transparency, and empathy—while calling for action from both local leaders and residents. The op-ed showcased Memphis' resilience and positive stories of innovation and collaboration, encouraging the community to unite and rise above its challenges.

I promoted the annual VOX Awards by crafting a targeted press release and coordinating media outreach, contributing to sold-out attendance and over 1,000 entries per category. Through this project, I deepened my skills in media relations, event promotion, and stakeholder coordination—learning how to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and manage multiple communication channels effectively to maximize engagement.

Developed multiple social media content calendars for PRSA Memphis, with a focus on building anticipation and excitement for the annual VOX Awards ceremony. Strategically planned and scheduled posts to engage the community, highlight event details, and showcase key speakers and finalists, driving awareness and boosting attendance leading up to the sold-out event.

Engaging graphics were created to promote the VOX Awards across social media platforms, including a “We’re a Finalist” graphic for nominees to share and countdown posts to build excitement as the event approached. This approach leveraged visual storytelling and strategic timing to amplify event visibility and increase audience engagement, contributing to a sold-out ceremony.
